About Buds and Bosses Persepolis Brands

Buds and Bosses was created in 2019 to make a statement! We want to de stigmatize the use of Cannabis in mainstream and insurance based healthcare. We advocate through education and give patients a platform to share their experiences on our panels! This safe place to bring doctors, patients and the cannabis community together. We serve drinks, tacos and CBD cocktails as well as host a CBD market place!

Event Host Spotlight Interview

Mary, I would love for our readers to get to know a bit more about you. Please share with us your backstory and how you got into the cannabis industry.

Mary: I started in the industry 5 years ago as a consultant. I’ve worked with multiple brands to create, reporting and infrastructure but teamed up with Ali Ganji and Persepolis Brands I’m December of 2018! From there I started creating my formulas for prescription RX like for conditions like Alzheimer’s and Colitis. I was sharing some of the science with my partners and they told me I needed to do an event. I said no at first but by the time I got home I already had the name Buds and Bosses stuck in my head!

What kind of experience does your event provide?

Mary: We’re really medically based with an underlying health and wellness push! This is not a sesh. We want to have cannabis used in mainstream insurance-based health care and be friendly to those curious first-time users! We serve free drinks, tacos, and CBD cocktails all night. We host three panels which are all cannabis centric moderated by Hazel Rose, rapper, song writer and educator.

This up coming event is featuring the following; Influencer Entrepreneurs, Cannabinoid Sciences with yours truly and our Complex Regional Pain Syndrome panel! We have patients in this panel that fall in different spectrums of the condition and one whose even put hers into remission. All panelist have used cannabis to improve the quality of their lives.

How many times a year do you host your event?

We host a quarterly event with a couple of pop ups and collab possibilities in the works.

Where are your events hosted?

Mary: The Lazarus Experience in Los Angeles, California.

Who would you say your events are catered to?

Mary: Anyone who wants to learn how cannabis can change the quality of your life!

What are some of the things you’ve had to learn how to do to put on an event?

Mary: Just to have passion. You gotta be about it for it to be about you.

What are some challenges that you as an event host face that you would like to share with our audience, so they have a better idea of challenges event hosts face in the cannabis industry?

Mary: Prop 64 has made it hard to have consumption and sales at all events. For that reason, we only allow CBD vendors for the time being.

Since your first event, how has your event evolved?

Mary: We’re still pretty new but we definitely have the communities’ attention so it’s only up from here!

What has been your favorite moment so far when hosting your event?

Mary: Hearing the feedback on how much our event is creating a community for medical cannabis patients and how excited people are for that is everything!

Thank you, Mary, for sharing with our readers more about Buds and Bosses Persepolis Brands. We can’t wait for your upcoming event!
